Questions about the AI chatbot

Everything you'd want to know before buying.

Will the chatbot give my customers wrong information?

No. The bot only answers from the information you give it — it cannot make things up or guess. If someone asks about a service that isn't listed, it will say "I'm not sure about that — please contact us directly" and give your phone number or email. It will never invent a price or policy.

What happens if someone asks something it can't answer?

It politely says it doesn't know and directs the customer to contact you — via phone, email, or whatever you prefer. It won't guess or give vague non-answers. This keeps your reputation intact and ensures nothing important falls through the cracks.

Will it work on my Wix / WordPress / Shopify site?

Yes — it works on any website. It's a single JavaScript snippet that goes before the closing </body> tag. Most website builders (Wix, Squarespace, WordPress, Shopify, Webflow) allow you to add custom code in one or two clicks. If you or your developer can paste one line, it's installed.

What does it cost to run monthly? Are there hidden fees?

R500/month covers hosting, monitoring, and one content update per month. That's everything — all-in, no hidden fees. I'm not VAT registered, so what you see is what you pay.

What if my prices or hours change?

Send me a message with what changed — I'll update the chatbot within 24 hours. One update per month is included in the hosting fee. If you need more frequent updates, we can arrange an extended support plan.

Can the chatbot take bookings or payments directly?

The chatbot can direct customers to your existing booking link (Calendly, a booking page, or your phone number). It doesn't process payments itself. If you want a full booking system built — where customers pick a date and time directly — that's a separate service I also offer. Ask me about it.

Is it secure? Can it be hacked or abused?

Yes, it's secure. The AI key is stored server-side and never exposed in your website's code. The chatbot only accepts requests from your domain — so it can't be called from other sites. Each session is capped at 20 messages to prevent abuse. All messages are sanitised before processing.

Can I cancel the monthly hosting?

Yes, anytime. No contracts, no lock-in. If you cancel, the chatbot stops working and is removed. There are no cancellation penalties. I'd rather earn your business every month by delivering value than lock you in.

Does it work in Afrikaans?

Yes. The AI understands and responds in Afrikaans, English, and most other languages automatically. You can also set the default language to Afrikaans if that suits your clients better. For fully bilingual responses, ask about the Standard plan.
